Trip to the Movies!

Trip to the Movies!

“Sometimes I choose what I’m going to make the Lifepreneur videos about based on what I’m going through in my life at the time. This was definitely true for this video. Over the past couple months, I observed some people I had associated myself with in the past using “blame”. Personal growth 101: when blame exists, responsibility does not. What’s interesting is, for most humans..

this is our natural behavior to engage in at first if something in our life or business doesn’t turn out like we wanted it to. We automatically assume it had to be an outside “cause” in the environment or the “cause” of another person resulting in what’s showing up for us.

The idea that it could have had something to do with YOU, is too painful to think about for most.. so what do we do? ..we stick out our arm and ‘point the finger’ at anything but us to continue the pattern of avoiding and dodging responsibility.

I first heard the analogy I shared in the video from a mentor of mine a few years ago. One of the reasons I love it so much is because for a lot of people, it helps to receive a new idea and talk about something we can all relate to (like going to the movies) at the same time. So in case you watched the video and still had some questions or don’t feel like you fully grasped the message, hopefully just visually seeing this will help.

Imagine..

“The Movie Screen” = your life (as you see it)

“Projector” = you

..remember, if your “movie screen” isn’t to your liking, don’t throw popcorn at the screen (ie. ‘point the finger’), make adjustments in the projector;)

Would love to hear any of your comments or questions down below!”

Love, Kyle
