“Have you ever heard the saying, “when the student is ready, the teacher will appear?” ..my way of interpreting that is, “you’ll get it when you’re ready.” Well I remember very vividly the day I finished reading my first book all the way through, Way of the Peaceful Warrior. And although I’ve gone back and re-read it many times since then, the segment I share in the video..
hit me like a ton of bricks from the start. I’m pretty sure it’s because I really needed to hear it at that time when I was struggling with “control” issues in my life.
It’s pretty funny to think back on just a few years ago, I actually used to walk around priding myself on what I “know”. And I don’t know about you but to this day, one thing that makes me giggle inside (every time, lol) is when I hear someone saying, “Yeah, I know, I know, I know.. seriously, I know..” ..hahaha! ..have any “know-it-alls” in YOUR life!? ..haha:)
I guess it’s because from a young age I always heard, “knowledge is power”.. and then I started questioning that when I was introduced to mentors who would tell me, “to know and not to do, is not to know.“.. basically just saying that knowledge not put into action is useless. I mean that is the point of learning right, to do something with what you learn.
I was inspired to make this video because I’ve found it to be a very powerful place to live my life from not “knowing” anything and not feeling like
I constantly need to prove my righteousness. Instead being open and okay with the idea that we don’t need to make others wrong just because their ideas about the world don’t match ours.
Here’s an idea for you to chew on, “we’re ALL right” (..from our own point of view:)
Here’s a challenge.. take a second and ask yourself, “where am I?” ..and keep expanding on it. What’s YOUR answer??
I really don’t have an agenda here for you other than encouraging you to seek and find your own answers:)
Would love to hear any thoughts, comments or questions down below!’
